Make sure to purchase your electrical equipment from shops or online platforms that are affiliated with the SENS network, as only these retailers collect the advance recycling contribution (ARC). The entire SENS recycling system is financed through the ARC, which is included in the purchase price of electrical equipment and covers all costs relating to future collection, logistics and recycling. This financing ensures that you can rely on a large and well-established network of collection and take-back points throughout Switzerland and that you will not face any extra costs when disposing of your electrical equipment.

Online purchases from abroad

Although the low prices may be tempting, when it comes to buying electrical equipment on platforms like Alibaba or Temu, you don't actually get a good deal in the end. Not only do these devices often have safety defects or include parts that contain hazardous substances, they also create a shortfall in the financing of their proper disposal. This is because the price does not include an advance recycling contribution.
