If you, as a manufacturer or importer, want to place an electrical appliance on the market in Switzerland, you must observe certain statutory regulations regarding recycling.
These provisions are regulated by the Swiss Ordinance on the Return, Taking Back and Disposal of Electronic Equipment (ORDEE). This ordinance obliges manufacturers, retailers and importers to take back electrical and electronic equipment that is similar to their product range free of charge and to hand it over for professional recycling.
By being an ARC partner of SENS eRecycling, you fulfil can your take-back obligations efficiently and in compliance with the law, while also benefiting from secure and cost-neutral financing.
The SENS recycling system is entirely financed through the advance recycling contribution (ARC). The contribution covers all collection, logistics and recycling costs. The ARC is levied by you as the manufacturer or importer and subsequently passed through the entire retail chain to the consumer.
