Anyone who wants to advance the circular economy in a targeted way needs reliable data. With IntelliSENS, SENS eRecycling brings together information from internal and external sources in one central place, links it and makes it accessible in clear dashboards. This creates a solid basis for data-driven decisions and new added value along the entire circular economy of electrical appliances.

Many data sources, one common basis

Valuable data is generated at many points in the SENS recycling system. IntelliSENS brings it together: data on the advance recycling contribution (ARC), finance and HR data, import data and data from recycling companies. Another important source is SENS AI. The AI model recognises over 130 product categories on the conveyor belts of recycling companies and continuously delivers precise information on the flow of small household appliances. IntelliSENS merges all this data and links it together.

From data to forecasts

Linking the data is what makes it truly valuable. One example: import data can be used to forecast return volumes for the coming years. The devices entering Switzerland today will return to the SENS recycling system as end-of-life devices in a few years’ time. Insights like these help to plan collection and recycling proactively.

In use and continuously evolving

IntelliSENS is already in use at SENS eRecycling in Operations and in Finance and Controlling. Employees access the data via clear dashboards, giving them a solid basis for their decisions. We are continuously developing IntelliSENS: new data sources are being connected, and the application is gradually being extended to other areas.

A further step in the digitalisation of the eRecycling sector

With SENS AI, SENS eRecycling has already taken a pioneering role in the digitalisation of the eRecycling sector. IntelliSENS goes one step further: data is not only recorded, but also connected and made usable. In this way, we strengthen the circular economy for electrical and electronic equipment in Switzerland.
